Emergency Dental Coverage
NHS England is responsible for commissioning urgent care dentistry both in-hours and out of hours.
Patients are able to access urgent dental care by calling their local Dental Urgent Care helpline. Telephone numbers for urgent care are detailed on Dental Practice answer machine messages and are displayed in Dental and the majority of GP Practices. The details will also be circulated to Pharmacies and other urgent/unscheduled care providers.
After the call handling services close patients can access services and triage via the NHS 111 helpline.
